FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to transport machine building. Cargo box for a vehicle comprises a cargo box body having two walls, a floor, an open side, an opening and a tab. Tailgate has a tab and a slot. Tab extends from the underside and is located in the opening of the cargo box body. Slot is formed in the side of the tailgate. Tailgate is vertically slidable. Vehicle comprises a frame, an engine, a seat coupled to the frame, and said cargo box. Method of opening the tailgate of the cargo box comprises steps of: - lifting the tailgate vertically; - pivoting the tailgate. Method for removing the tailgate of the cargo box comprises steps of: - pivoting the tailgate; - pulling the tailgate from the cargo box body; - disengaging the tailgate from the opening in the cargo box body.
EFFECT: improved tailgate locking.
