SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat exchanger (1) with base (2), seal (3) and cover (4), wherein base (2) has two accommodation grooves (5, 5'), which each have groove bottom (7, 7'), wherein intermediate region (10) is formed in the plane between two passages (8), and ramp (11) runs between intermediate region (10) and groove bottoms (7, 7'). Seal (3) runs in accommodation grooves (5, 5'), wherein sealing web (12) runs across two ramps (11) and intermediate region (10) lying therebetween, wherein each ramp (11) is rounded at the transition to accommodation groove (5, 5') with radius (R1) and at the transition to intermediate region (10) with radius (R2), wherein ramps (11) are inclined at an angle 20°<α<65° with respect to intermediate region (10), or have an S-shaped profile, wherein reversal point (W) is arranged in the region from 10 % to 80 % of height difference (h) starting from groove bottom (7, 7') of accommodation groove (5, 5').
