FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ammunition and can be used to assess the functioning of non-contact fuses. Before the tests of non-contact fuzes, a shell with a contact fuze is conducted in the shell. In the funnel formed during the explosion, measure the depth of the funnel hf. Then carry out firing using non-contact fuzes in the same shells, with the same aiming gun. In the funnels formed during the explosions of shells, the funnel depth hfH is also measured. Height of the detonation of the shell above the surface of the ground is estimated by calculation using the relation H=(hf-hfH)/(l-η), where H is the height of the detonation of the shell above the ground; hf – the depth of the funnel in the ground when the shell is blown up by means of a contact fuse; hfH – the depth of the funnel in the ground when the shell is blasted by means of a non-contact detonator at a height H; η – the empirical (tabular) coefficient of interaction of the explosion with the underlying surface.
EFFECT: increased reliability of the evaluation of the parameters of the test of non-contact fuzes, in particular, increased reliability of determining the height of detonation of shells with non-contact fuzes.
