SUBSTANCE: invention relates to containers. Full aperture can assembly comprises a can body and a can end that is attached to the can body by a seam. Can end comprises a centre panel having a periphery and including a coined portion around a rivet, a first score disposed proximate the periphery of the centre panel and defining a removable panel, a tab, including a nose, mounted to the removable panel by the rivet such that the nose is disposed proximate the first score. Tab is elongate along a longitudinal axis that extends through the centre of the rivet, the longitudinal axis being perpendicular to a lateral axis that also extends through the centre of the rivet. Second score is disposed on the removable panel and has: (i) a central portion spaced apart from the coined portion that intersects the longitudinal axis; (ii) a pair of check slots disposed on either side of the central portion; (iii) a pair of lateral portions that extend from the check slots, respectively, and each include a segment that is parallel to the lateral axis; and (iv) a pair of side portions that extend from the lateral portions, respectively, away from the lateral axis.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides the release of internal pressure from the beverage can when it is opened, which improves the pouring of the beverage.
