SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rigging of small-sized drilling and drilling-milling machines used in the oil and gas industry, and can be used to produce planar surfaces on round billets of small diameter. Universal dividing head comprises a housing, a shaft with a lock and a spur gear to rotate the workpiece by a predetermined angle, a multiple of the number of gear teeth, 3-jaw chuck for mounting the workpiece, bolted to the shaft flange, and a threaded stopper installed in the housing and intended to fix the shaft before machining the part. Shaft is rotatably mounted in the radial thrust and thrust bearings installed in the housing. Body at the bottom is made with a plane intended for horizontal installation of the dividing head in the machine vice of the mentioned machines.

EFFECT: provides expansion of technological capabilities of machines used in the oil and gas industry.
