FIELD: security facilities.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to radiation-protective material. Radiation-protective material comprises a fibrous material with composite filaments including a radiopaque substance. Filaments are structured in a regular pattern to form the radiation-protective material. Composite filaments comprise a composite material including the radiopaque substance. Radiopaque substance is mixed in the composite material and is substantially evenly distributed within the composite material. Diameters of the filaments are in the range from 0.5 mm to 1.5 mm. Amount of radiopaque substance in the filaments is more than 25 wt% and less than 90 wt% of the total weight of the filaments. Filaments are made from a mixture of radiopaque substance and an organic polymeric matrix such that the radiopaque substance is embedded in the organic matrix. Clothes for use for protection against radiation are also disclosed.
EFFECT: group of inventions makes it possible to obtain a radiation-protective material with improved air permeability, increased flexibility and resistance to aging.
