SUBSTANCE: rescuers clothes for protection from radioactive emission in seismically dangerous zones contains an overall of an air- and vapour-permeable fabric, gloves and shoes; the overall is equipped with cell pockets for placement of insert plates made of a material absorbing radioactive emission with absorption coefficient corresponding to power of an ionising emission dose; the material absorbing radioactive emission is represented by material containing a filler represented by lead oxides (lead II, IV oxide) and a binding agent represented by polyvinylbutyral, ethyl acetate, di-(alkylpolyethyleneglycol) phosphate ester of the formula: where n=6, R - alkyl group containing 8-10 carbon atom and ethylcellulose at the following components ratio, wt %: lead II, IV oxide - 30.6-56.8; polyvinylbutyral - 3.8-10.2; ethyl acetate - 14.3-26.5; di-(alkylpolyethyleneglycol phosphate ester) - 0.2-0.4; ethylcellulose - balance. The new composition of the binding agent ensures complete compatibility with lead oxides and allows to obtain materials with a high lead equivalent and flexibility degree. Such material has good adhesion to metals, concrete and bricks. The material is represented by highly concentrated suspension quickly hardening in the air. The material viscosity is equal to 20÷70 Pa·s.
EFFECT: enhancement of reliability of radioactive protection during rescuers work in seismically dangerous zones.
