FIELD: protective materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radiation protective materials (RPM) and can be used for the manufacture of collective and individual means of protecting people and equipment from gamma and X-ray radiation. Layered radiation protective material contains layers of woven material based on cotton fibers and layers of elastic material placed between them, reinforced with a screening powdery filler. Layers of woven material are made of metallized fabric, having electrical conductivity, on which the radiation-protective material in the form of a lead coating with a thickness of (75–100) * 10-3 mm is first applied by an electrochemical method, and then composite metal fluoroplastic coating with thickness of (60–80) * 10-3 mm, and layers of elastic material placed between the layers of metallized fabric, containing sulfuric vulcanizing group, reinforced with lead organosols in the amount of 1–1.5 % of the mass.
EFFECT: invention allows to improve the protective properties of the material, reduce toxicity and weight, and facilitate recycling through the use of electrochemical technology in the formation of a radiation-protective material.
