FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a medical device connecting station. Station comprises a body having docking interface portions, a control unit controlling a medical device communication interface for communication with a docked medical device and controlling a server communication interface. Control unit is configured acquire medical data from a docked medical device via the medical device communication interface and is further configured to connect with and obtain a data session with the server system via the server communication interface, and to thereby transfer the medical data to the server system. Station further comprises a lid connected to the body and movable between a first and second position. Station comprises a lid movement sensing unit which is configured to sense movement of the lid between the first position and the second position.
EFFECT: higher accuracy and reliability of data transfer between the medical device and the server system.
