SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil reservoir engineering techniques with the help of oil producing and injection wells and can find application in the development of oil fields with a deep bedding of reservoir. Method involves the development of a section of a rectangular oil formation with two wells located at the tops of the diagonal of the section. Wells have two horizontal holes, located at the edges of the section of the formation. Each of the four horizontal holes is located on the same plane of the formation, perpendicular to the second hole of one well and is parallel to one of the holes of the second well. At the first stage, a displacement agent is pumped into a first horizontal hole (HH) of the first well. Oil is drawn from the parallel well of the second well. At the second stage, the motion of the displacement cagent in the formation is changed by 90° by injecting an agent (water) into another HH of the first well. Oil is drawn from the second horizontal hole of the second well. At the final stage of development, the displacement agent is pumped into one or two, or three HH. Residual oil is drawn through one or two or three horizontal holes. Duration of the stages is determined on the basis of the water cut of the produced formation products, cumulative oil production for each of the horizontal holes, degree of depletion of a section of the reservoir or other geological and technical criteria for the development of an oil reservoir.

EFFECT: technical result is an increase in oil recovery.
