SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the oil and gas industry and can be used in the development of hydrocarbon deposits with the presence of underlying ground water in the section of the formation. Method of operation of the hydrocarbon deposit includes the opening of the formation in a cluster of several wells, at least one vertical, one controlled directional and one horizontal, and development of reserves to the limiting watering of the produced products. At the initial stage of development, the lower intervals in the vertical and controlled directional wells are perforated, and the horizontal well drains only the upper part of the section. When the reservoir is flooded with bottom water and the water enters the vertical and controlled directional wells, the lower intervals are isolated and the new intervals located in the wells above are perforated. Horizontal well continues to operate in the specified process mode.

EFFECT: simultaneous uniform treatment of the formation and reduction in the number of overhauls for the entire period of development of the deposit.
