SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to rail transport and is designed to mechanize manual labor when removing ballast from sleeper boxes. Motor-hydraulic modernization unit contains a L-shaped frame, a support frame, a hydraulic cylinder and a working organ with a working tool fixed to it. Support frame is installed between the rails above the served sleeper box. L-frame is mounted on the support frame through a horizontal shaft with slides. Working organ with the tool is placed on the ballast. Working fluid enters the hydraulic cylinder through the high-pressure hoses through the hydraulic distributor from the hydraulic power station. There is a pushing out of the rod of the hydraulic cylinder and removal of the ballast by the working tool.

EFFECT: increased productivity of manual labor is achieved.
