SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geophysics and can be used in seismic surveys. Double-core seismograph is proposed that contains a double magnetic core packed in a housing that provides higher sensitivity and a reduction in the number of electrical wires in the device. Seismograph contains a locking mechanism for the double magnetic core to protect the device from strong vibrations when the device is not being used. Method for measuring acoustic vibrations in a well using a dual-core seismograph, as mentioned above, involves locking a double magnetic core when the seismograph does not detect acoustic vibrations.
EFFECT: maintenance of seismograph operation in unfavorable conditions with simultaneous increase of sensitivity of the claimed device.
