FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for controlling the operation of a flow control device for heating systems, for example a valve, in cases where the load becomes low and/or high, and also to a controller configured to perform this method. Controller is made with the possibility to control the operation of the fluid flow control device so that the control signal is 0 % when said fluid flow control device is to be closed, and is 100 % when it must be fully open, with normal workload that is load within the threshold load value, wherein the controller is configured to communicate with the means for determining said load, wherein said controller comprises a modified control signal in which the control signal is never equal to 0 % and/or is never equal to 100 %, and proceeds to said modified control signal when the load is outside the above mentioned threshold load value, while the signal is sufficiently below or above the range of reaction points, since it is possible to oscillate these points, said reaction point being a signal when the actuator of said flow control device switches between an open position and closed position.
EFFECT: this makes it possible to reduce the delay of a response.
