FIELD: control systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to controlling the flow rate and/or pressure of injected fluid medium. Method comprises receiving a measured value indicating the flow rate and/or pressure of the injected fluid medium, determining a first control mode for controlling flow rate and/or pressure at a threshold level, wherein determining the first control mode includes selecting a first control mode from the plurality of control modes based on the measured value, wherein first control mode is realized using first proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control loop, controlling flow rate and/or pressure of injected fluid medium in accordance with a first control mode during a first period of time, including: determining a first control signal transmitted to the field device, wherein the field device is connected to the line through which the injected fluid medium, and transmitting the first control signal to the field device, determining second control mode for controlling flow rate and/or pressure in order to reduce pressure of injected fluid medium to a level below a threshold level, wherein determining the second control mode includes selecting a second control mode from the plurality of control modes based on the measured value, wherein second control mode is realized using second proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control loop, and controlling the flow rate and/or pressure of injected fluid medium in accordance with the second control mode during the second period of time, including: determining a second control signal transmitted to the field device, and transmitting the second control signal to the field device.
EFFECT: matched control of fluid medium injection.
