SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the device and method for obtaining the indicator of the vital functions of the object. Device comprises the interface for receiving a set of object image frames, the analysis unit for determining the number of direction changes and/or time intervals between changes in direction in the explored area in the subset of image frames containing several image frames of the specified set, the evaluation unit for determining, whether the indicated area of interest in the mentioned subset of image frames contains information about the vital function indicator and/or noise by using a certain number of direction changes and/or time intervals for the mentioned subset of image frames, the selection block for selecting the studied area in the mentioned subset of image frames, and the processor for determining the desired indicator of the vital functions of the object from the specified study area in the specified subset of image frames.

EFFECT: technical result is to ensure that the respiration signal differs from noise in the projection, which is based on the registration of indicators of vital functions.
