SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sewage devices. In the method, the trap contains the body of the trap, which forms the inlet of the trap and the outlet of the trap. Said trap body comprises an insert tubular member disposed relative to the trap inlet and outlet in such a way that the flow path of the fluid through the bottle trap is formed by a convoluted path between the trap inlet and outlet, so that there is a water seal between the trap inlet and outlet. Also, the trap comprises a one-way duckbill flow control valve installed adjacent to the trap inlet and continuing in the insert tubular member, and also configured to provide fluid flow from the inlet of the trap to the outlet of the trap and to prevent flow of fluid from the outlet of the trap to the inlet of the trap, and a one-way discharge shut-off valve, located above and adjacent to the outlet of the trap and containing the inlet of the shut-off valve and the outlet of the shut-off valve. Further, the outlet of the trap is displaced from the trap body by means of an exhaust port, and said exhaust port protrudes from the trap body and the one-way discharge shut off valve is mounted on the exhaust port. In operation, in the presence of a negative pressure drop at the one-way discharge shut off valve, the one-way discharge shut off valve is operative to allow air to flow through the one-way discharge shut off valve to remove the differential pressure, but in the presence of a prolonged positive drop in the one-way discharge shut off valve, the one-way discharge shut off valve functions to prevent air from flowing through the one-way discharge shut off valve.
