FIELD: space; heat exchange.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for removing heat from space vehicles and is used to operate a drop radiator-cooler. In the method of operation of the drop radiator-cooler, which includes heating the coolant of the drop radiator-cooler in the power system of the spacecraft, transformation of the coolant into the stream of drops, their cooling by radiation into outer space, collection of coolant droplets, supply of the collected coolant to the power system, the flow of droplets is affected by a flux of ultraviolet radiation, which causes an external photoelectric effect on the surface of the coolant droplets.
EFFECT: reduction of losses of the mass of the droplet flow due to a decrease in the linear deviation of coolant droplet trajectories, increase in the efficiency of the operation of the drop radiator-cooler.
