SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for sampling bottom sediments and can be used in studying the lithologic composition and physical and mechanical properties of bottom sediments. In the method, the marine geological pipe-sampler consists of a pipe, the bottom of which is equipped with a ground knife. At the top of the pipe, the mass of the inertial impact and the plate of the stabilizer are fixed. Wherein an impeller is located around the mass of the inertial impact. Said impeller provides rotation of the pipe around its own axis. Further, the pipe is suspended on a swivel. Said ground knife is made in the form of asymmetrical teeth. And the cutting surface of the teeth of the ground knife faces the direction of rotation of the pipe.
EFFECT: invention provides increased reliability of sampling of bottom sediments, as well as an increase in the depth of immersion and the quality of sampling.
