FIELD: military equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for throwing projectiles, used primarily for experimental studies of high-speed impact phenomena. Light-gas plant comprises a charge chamber with a powder charge, a compression chamber with a conical adapter, filled with light gas, a ballistic barrel, a piston separating the charging chamber from the compression chamber, membrane separating the compression chamber from the ballistic barrel. Piston is damped. Conical adapter of the compression chamber is made in the form of a prechamber, installed at the end of the compression chamber through damping gaskets and not having a rigid connection with other elements of the structure. Damping pads are made of impact-resistant material, for example polyurethane.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is reduced mechanical loads acting on the elements of a light gas installation, increased reliability.
