FIELD: barrel projectile systems mainly used in experimental studies. SUBSTANCE: gun has a ballistic barrel, charge chamber with a powder charge and a cylindrical-conical compression chamber with light gas. The chambers are separated by a piston, and the barrel is separated from the compression chamber by a diaphragm. The compression chamber is divided into two compartments by an additional deformable piston with the cavity open towards the barrel. The mass of the additional piston is less than the mass of the main piston, and the piston diameters are the same. EFFECT: enhanced service life of gun without any decrease of acceleration rates of projected objects. 2 dwg
