Method for transmitting datagrams between automation devices is characterized in that the sending automation device transmits datagrams with a high priority level in accordance with the first communication protocol and transmits the low priority datagrams according to a second communication protocol other than the first, a network component disposed in the communication network between the sending automation device and the receiving automation device, receives the corresponding datagram, recognizes its priority level based on the communication protocol used, and forwards it further based on the recognized priority level.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is to ensure reliable transmission of datagrams between the sender and the receiver due to the capability of the sending automation device to transmit datagrams with a high priority level and a low priority level.
