FIELD: instrument making.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of navigational instrument making and can be used in the development of integrated navigation systems, where the main navigation information supplied by the strap-down inertial navigation systems (SINS) is corrected by positional and high-speed information supplied by external information sources. Proposed method for determining errors of the SINS with respect to external positional and velocity information provides the formation of a measurement vector as the difference between positional and high-speed information supplied by an external source of information, and positional and speed information supplied by the corrected SINS, with sequential processing of the formed measurement vector by filtering to determine the errors of the corrected system, including instrumental errors of the system, at that in order to improve the accuracy of determining the errors of the system being correlated and reducing the time of readiness of the received estimates, the processing of the generated measurement vector is carried out in two stages, at that at the first stage, such dynamic errors of the system as positional error, speed errors, errors in vertical construction and kinematic errors, including a course error, and at the second stage, when observability conditions associated with the object maneuver are fulfilled, the systematic components of instrumental errors of the system are determined, such as uncompensated system drifts and accelerometer errors, and after determining these errors, the obtained estimates of the dynamic errors of the system are refined.

EFFECT: simplification of the method of obtaining an error estimate of the corrected system, that leads to a decrease in the transient time and a reduction in the availability time.
