SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of navigational instrument making and can be used in the development of integrated navigation systems, where the main navigation information supplied by the strap-down inertial navigation systems (SINS) is corrected by positional and high-speed information supplied by external information sources. Strap down inertial navigation system, corrected for external positional and high-speed information, consists of a block of sensors with three accelerometers and three laser gyroscopes placed in it, outputs connected through a block of signal converters with inputs of the on-board computer, containing a block for solving navigation equations, as well as a block for forming positional and velocity measurements formed as a difference in the location of an object determined by external information sources and a correctable navigation system, and as the difference in the speeds of the object determined by the sources of external information and the correctable system, and a system error detection unit that includes two steps, the output of the first step being connected to the input of the second step, the first step being configured as a two-channel system, with the possibility of determining such system errors, as a mistake in determining the coordinates γ, speed error Δω, error constructing the vertical α, a kinematic error β and linear combinations of instrumental errors ν, ε in the projections on the axis of the accompanying trihedron, the linear combinations being used as a new measurement vector coming to the input of the second step in the form of a two-channel system with the possibility of determining instrumental errors ν, ε.

EFFECT: simplification of the method of obtaining an error estimate of the corrected system, that leads to a decrease in the transient time and a reduction in the availability time.
