SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of purification of tobacco smoke from carcinogenic and toxic substances and can be used in the tobacco industry in the manufacture of filters for cigarettes and mouthpieces. In the method, the filter for the cigarettes includes a filter material, a nano-sized zeolite, an additive, wherein the filter comprises a zeolite having a particle size of less than 200 nm in an amount of 5 to 90 % by weight of the total weight of the filter and, as an additive, includes compounds of the porphyrin group up to 10 % by weight.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is the creation of a cigarette filter that removes harmful substances in cigarette smoke to the maximum without degrading the quality of cigarettes.
