FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of vehicles, namely to a method for cleaning a viewing area using liquid and mechanical windshield wipers. Vehicle glass 1 on the outer surface (with respect to the car interior) has plateau 2, whose geometric dimensions are smaller than area 3 of glass surface 1 coverage with wiper blades. Plateau 2 is designed so that its minimum height h is at the bottom of vehicle window 1 facing the hood or luggage compartment, and it is larger than the maximum size of solids that may be present in liquid contaminations (0.3…3.2 mm). Tilt angle β of plateau 2 from its lower part (the hood / trunk of the vehicle) to the top (the roof of the vehicle) does not exceed 3°…5°. All edges of plateau 2 are rounded to eliminate damage to the wiper blades, and the angle of inclination of its lateral surface with respect to the normal of the main surface of glass 1 is less than 90°. Exterior mirror of a vehicle having windshield wipers can also be provided.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of removal of polluting particles from the area captured by wiper blades and a reduction in the probability of their re-entry into it.
