FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the oil and gas industry, mainly to devices for sealing the production columns and shutting off the seams. Device comprises a patch in the form of a smooth metal nozzle having elastic sealing rings on the ends at the ends, and expanding the mandrel, made in the form of a cone-transformer and a truncated cone with an unchanged geometry behind it. Cone-transformer produces the preliminary distribution of the patch, and the truncated cone – the final one, while the expansion force of the patch is reduced due to the effect of combining the non-contact deformation zones. Body of the cone-transformer is located on the mandrel with the possibility of axial displacement relative to the truncated cone. To achieve the maximum reduction in axial force, the cone-transformer is able to change the geometry during operation of the device.
EFFECT: reduces the deformation force of the patch, increases the reliability and efficiency of the device.
