FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engines to connect the piston to the connecting rod. Piston pin (1) comprises anti-seize coating (4) limited to angular sector (S) corresponding at least to a friction area subjected to a contact pressure along a preferential direction. Angular sector (S) is in the range of 15 to 240°. Disclosed are a piston pin in the case of a structural member of an internal combustion engine and versions of the method for applying an anti-seize coating on the piston pin.
EFFECT: technical result is less friction in the contact pin/body contact.
