FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a side glazing of a vehicle. Side glazing of a vehicle comprises a transparent display screen, a light guide substrate, a light source and a means for outputting light emitted from the light source. Transparent display screen includes an imaging system configured to display images in a digital format and is only in one part of the glazing, to enable viewing through the other part of the glazing without looking through the transparent display screen. Light guide substrate is located more on the outside than the transparent display screen. Light source is located on the periphery of the light guide substrate, in particular opposite the end edge of said substrate. Light source is preferably formed by a plurality of LEDs.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of artificial backlighting for a transparent screen is achieved.
