SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of medicine, namely, ophthalmology, and is intended to suppress the adsorption of pranoprofen and/or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt on soft contact lenses containing zwitterionic material. Ophthalmic composition for soft contact lenses containing a zwitterionic material includes pranoprofen and/or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and chondroitin sulfate and/or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. pH of said composition is 5.5 or higher. Also provided are methods for suppressing the adsorption of pranoprofen and/or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof on soft contact lenses containing a zwitterionic material and the use of said composition.
EFFECT: use of a group of inventions makes it possible to obtain a transparent ophthalmic composition and effectively inhibit the adsorption of pranoprofen and/or its salt on soft contact lenses containing zwitterionic material.
