SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer equipment. Method for determining the control authority of an electronic device is disclosed, in which: the local network of the terminal device is searched for by means of a terminal device, which has the user account for detecting electronic devices that are within the mentioned local network; when the identifier of the electronic device is detected within the local network, the request message, which contains the identity of the user account on the terminal device, is sent to the server, for requesting the marker of the electronic device from the server; the marker, which is returned by the server according to the request message, is received, after the identification of data on the authentication server; and the authorities of the user account to control the electronic device according to the marker are determined.

EFFECT: technical result is the reduced time, which is required to transmit the control command when determining the authorities to manage the user device.
