FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of hydraulic engineering, in particular to downhole sucker rod pumps intended for the production of fluids from wells, and can be used in the oil and gas industry. Compression split rings 1 center the plunger in the cylinder and create a hydraulic seal. Each ring 1 has no dependence on the neighboring ring and is located in its annular groove formed when assembling the end seals on the cylinder, with a gap allowing free compression of ring 1. At the force of pressing ring 1 against the walls of the cylinder being compressed, an effort is created, determined only by the elasticity of the material of the ring. End stops 2 are made smaller in diameter than the diameter of the cylinder to be sealed, that allows them to move freely with a large deviation from the straightness of the cylinder to be sealed.
EFFECT: prevents the jamming of the pistons, reducing friction and increasing the time between failures of the plunger-cylinder pair, that ensures an effective sealing of the plunger-cylinder pair during a long period of well operation; besides it is simplified the design of the pump plunger and reduces the laboriousness of its manufacture.
