SUBSTANCE: inventions are related to the field of agriculture, in particular to vegetable growing. Method enriches the plant of the pumpkin family (Cucurbitaceae), the genus Pumpkin (Cucurbita) or the genus cucumber (Cucumis), a microelement. At least one composition is applied to the plant at least once, containing at least said trace element, wherein said composition is applied during the period of formation of at least one ovary on the treated plant. Microelement is enriched with the fruit of a plant of the pumpkin family, a pumpkin or a cucumber belonging to the genus, so that in the fruit of this plant such a trace element is contained in an amount not less than one-third of the daily norm of consumption of such a microelement by a person.
EFFECT: methods allow enriching the edible parts of the plant of the pumpkin family with the necessary microelements, for example iodine or selenium.
