FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering and can be used in an electrical multiphase system for its managing. Converter and the electric multiphase system comprise an electric machine which is provided with several windings having a first terminal and a second terminal, at least one assembly is provided to which one of the two terminals of the corresponding winding of several windings is electrically connected, and the corresponding output of the corresponding winding from several windings is electrically connected to the phase output and to a multilevel modular converter that contains several separate modules, which are connected in series to form a ring. At least one tap can be located between two respective adjacent individual modules and provides a phase output, to which the first terminal or the second winding output from several windings of the electric machine is electrically connected, the number of taps of the multilevel modular converter exactly corresponds to the number of windings from several windings of the electric machine. Each individual module of a multilevel modular converter has an energy storage device and several switching elements that allow connection of power storage units of adjacent individual modules, as a result of which a voltage difference can be provided between two adjacent phase terminals, which is controlled by the control unit in accordance with a multi-phase rotating field profile.
EFFECT: technical result is to provide an appropriate adjustable voltage difference between the two phase terminals of the electrical machine.
