FIELD: audio equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the audio analog-to-digital conversion means. Calculating the first quantization error, which describes the error resulting from quantization without the audio signal fragment audio parameter prediction. Calculating the second quantization error, which describes the error resulting from quantization with the said audio signal fragment audio parameter prediction. Determining whether the second quantization error exceeds the first quantization error, at least, for the adaptive margin, which depends on the audio signal consecutive fragments number preceding the said audio signal fragment, in which the said audio parameter quantization was performed using the predictive quantization. Providing quantized using quantization without prediction the said audio signal fragment audio parameter, as part of the encoded audio signal in the case, when the said determination result is positive. Otherwise, providing the said audio signal fragment audio parameter, quantized using the prediction quantization as part of the encoded audio signal.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increase in the audio analog-to-digital conversion efficiency.
