SUBSTANCE: audio processing system comprises a pre-processing component, that receives the quantized spectral components and performs the inverse quantization, thereby obtaining a time domain representation for the intermediate signal, a processing stage in the frequency domain, configured to provide the time domain representation to the processed audio signal, and a sampling rate converter providing the reconstructed audio signal sampled with the target sampling frequency. Corresponding internal sampling frequencies of the time domain representation for the intermediate audio signal and the time domain representation for the processed audio signal. In specific embodiments, the processing stage comprises a parametric upmixing stage, which operates in two different modes, and is associated with the delay stage, which provides a constant total delay.
EFFECT: sampled sound wave restoration in the single-channel, stereo or multi-channel format.
