FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: hinge assembly includes: a first hinge member comprising at least one hinge forming a hinge opening; a second hinge member comprising at least one other hinge, forming another hinge opening, and a rod passing through said hinge openings and pivotally connecting the first and second hinge members. Transverse opening is made in the hinge of the second hinge member, providing access to the rod, said transverse opening being accessible in the open position of a closing member and inaccessible in the closed position of the closing member. In order to avoid the need to use a countersunk screw turned in said transverse opening in order to prevent unauthorised persons from removing the hinge rod, the rod is rotatably mounted in the hinge openings. Side opening is made in the rod, which is accessible in the open position of the closing member for insertion of a device, for example a pin, through the said transverse opening in said one other hinge, in order to prevent the rod from turning relative to the one other hinge, for screwing the fixing element onto the rod and screwing it off.
