FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, namely to methods for modifying materials for oxygen electrodes to increase their electrochemical activity and can be used in the development of electrode materials for medium- and high-temperature solid oxide fuel cells and other electrochemical devices. Method for modifying the electrode materials involves impregnating the porous electrode matrix with a modifying agent. Rate of the limiting stage of the electrode additive is higher than the rate of the limiting stage of the electrode matrix, provided that the additive materials and the electrode material are isostructural.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to exclude the routine selection of the modifying additive, as well as the degradation of the electrodes in time.
