FIELD: ecology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ecology and can be used to monitor the state of disturbed lands in the areas of development of gas fields in the Far North. To do this, after reclamation of disturbed lands, a comprehensive study of soil samples of the reclaimed and uncontaminated background is conducted. Further in the samples the following chemical indices are determined: acidity and content of chemical substances, namely nitrates, benz(a)pyrene, cobalt, lead, zinc, copper, nickel, trivalent chromium, arsenic, manganese, vanadium, fluorine, cadmium, potassium chloride, antimony, mercury, phosphorus, general nitrogen and petroleum products. Based on the results obtained, the total index of soil chemical contamination is calculated. Following geobotanical indices are also determined: projective covering of plants, average height of vegetative shoots, total share of viable plants from among all species, the total biomass of plants, the growth of plant biomass in comparison with the previous year, the annual growth of vegetation as a percentage of biomass, the percentage of fully restored land from the total area of the recultivated site. In addition, environmental studies are conducted to determine the following environmental indicators: depth of transformation of permafrost (m), dynamics of degradation (transformation) of permafrost (%/year), percentage of affection of sites by water-erosion processes (%), percentage of the area subject to flooding (%), percentage of affected area thermokarst processes (%), the total percentage of the territory subject to the development of hazardous natural processes and phenomena (to the total area) (%), and the general dynamics of the territory subject to the development of hazardous natural processes and phenomena (to the total area) (%/year). Biological studies are conducted to determine the first group of biological indicators, namely: restoration of the number of small mammals and soil microorganisms, the dynamics of the restoration of the numbers of small mammals and soil microorganisms. All groups of indicators are ranked on a five-point scale and multiply the obtained values by weight coefficients. Integral evaluation of the restoration of the reclaimed area is calculated by adding the total scores of all indicators.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the accuracy and reliability of the method for monitoring and evaluating soil contamination after remediation.
