FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for combined gas laser-ultrasonic cutting of sheet metal and a device for its implementation (variants). Method includes exposing the surface of the cut sheet to ultrasonic vibrations (USV) and a process gas stream, flowing from the nozzle of the laser cutter coaxially with the laser beam, through which ultrasonic vibrations are pre-generated in the flow of process gas in the resonant volume of the ultrasonic generator. Device contains a laser cutter, a nozzle prechamber, a process gas supply manifold and an ultrasonic vibration generator (ultrasonic vibrations). According to Option 1, the ultrasonic generator is made in the form of a resonating volume with several Hartmann whistles, no less than three, located evenly along its perimeter. Resonant volume is placed coaxially with the nozzle pre-chamber and combined with it. According to Option 2, the ultrasonic generator is made in the form of a resonating volume with several Hartmann whistles, at least three, located evenly along its perimeter, wherein the resonating volume is arranged coaxially to the nozzle pre-chamber and is made in the form of a conical annular channel, input of which is connected to the collector of supply of process gas, and the outlet is located in the plane of the cut of the nozzle.

EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the quality of the laser cut by reducing the roughness with increasing sheet thickness and cutting speed.
