SUBSTANCE: claimed group of inventions relates to a system for separating a suspension and methods for separating a suspension. Can be used in mining, pharmaceutical, food, medical and / or other industries for the required separation of mixtures. In particular, it can be used to separate drill cuttings from drilling fluid to increase the differential. System for separating the suspension comprises a separator having an inlet end and an outlet end; screen connected to the separator for separating a first portion from a second portion of the suspension, the first portion passing through the screen; pressure differential generating device in a first fluid communication with the screen by an input of the pressure differential generating device; and a source of fluid different from the first portion passing through the screen in a second fluid communication with the pressure differential generating device through an opening, which is separated from the output. By means of the second fluid communication, the fluid source provides a fluid to the pressure differential generating device to generate a pressure differential with respect to a top area of the screen and a bottom area of the screen. With the help of the system, the method for separating the suspension is carried out.
