SUBSTANCE: disclosed is an apparatus and a method for separating solid particles from liquids. Device comprises a material separator, which comprises a continuous filtering tape located around a plurality of rollers. Said device also comprises a differential pressure system functionally connected to the separator and configured to adjust the pressure drop across the continuous filter tape. Rarefaction is applied to the continuous filter tape, and the liquid part of the suspension on the continuous filtering tape passes through the continuous filtering tape. Device comprises a material separator comprising a first tier with a first continuous filtering tape and a second tier with a second continuous filtering tape, wherein the pressure drop system comprises a collecting tray located below a portion of the continuous filter belt, wherein the collecting tray has a hole connected to the pipeline connected to the vacuum source by fluid medium, at that the collecting tray is located below the inclined part of the continuous filtering tape and additionally contains the second collecting tray, located under the horizontal part of the continuous filtering tape, wherein each of the collecting trays is functionally connected to vacuum.
EFFECT: disclosed method comprises rotating a continuous filter belt around a plurality of material separator rollers, feeding the slurry into the material separator through the separator inlet and the continuous filter belt, applying vacuum to the continuous filtering tape, drawing the liquid portion of the suspension on the continuous filter tape through the continuous filter tape by vacuum, wherein application of rarefaction includes continuous application of vacuum in first collecting tray located under inclined part of continuous filtering tape, and periodic application of vacuum in second collecting tray under horizontal part of continuous filtering tape.
