FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the polymer industry and can be used to eliminate leaks of the medium (steam, water) from pressurized pipeline equipment. Sealing compound contains the following components, by weight: polyisobutylene 16–19; black graphite 59–73; titanium dioxide 2–2.2; brass powder 4–4.4; isoprene rubber 5–6.6; sulfur 0.3; copper granules 4–4.4. In the sealing compound, polyisobutylene of P-20 grade and black graphite GLS-1 can be used. Polyisobutylene of molecular weight 18,000–22,000 is used.
EFFECT: it is possible to use a sealant to eliminate emergency leakage of steam or water in the heat-power pipeline equipment without switching it off.
