FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is aimed at improving the water resistance due to the achievement of a higher homogeneity of warm asphalt concrete mixtures. Before mixing the hot mineral aggregate and hot bitumen in the mixer perpendicular to the flow of hot bitumen serves sprayed water-air mixture, and the mineral aggregate serves dry. Device for producing warm asphalt mixes includes a mixer equipped with a screw and a feeder for feeding mineral aggregate, a feeder of bitumen in the form of a comb, dispenser-spray water supply, connected to water-air nozzles installed in the walls of the mixer below the feed mill bitumen, providing perpendicular direction of water flow relative to the flow of hot bitumen in the mixer. Foaming bitumen in the asphalt concrete mixer chamber is carried out with water sprayed using air-water-air nozzles until it contacts the mineral aggregate, and then the previously foamed bitumen interacts with the mineral material.
EFFECT: this makes it possible to improve the water resistance of asphalt concrete mixtures due to their higher uniformity.
