SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to polyurethanes, compositions, coatings and articles made therefrom, and methods for their production. Polyurethane includes a reaction product of components, including: (a) at least one prepolymer with functional isocyanate groups, containing a reaction product of (1) approximately 1 equivalent, of at least one polyisocyanate and (2) from about 0.1 to about 0.4 equivalent of at least one polycarbonate polyol, (b) from about 0.5 to about 0.8 equivalent of trimethylolpropane; and (c) from about 0.1 to about 0.5 equivalent of butanediol, pentanediol or cyclohexane dimethanol.

EFFECT: articles obtained using said polyurethanes have good optical properties, high impact resistance, high K coefficient, good ballistic resistance, good resistance to solvents and good weather resistance.
