SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, dentistry and can be used for the correction of dentofacial anomalies in children with connective tissue dysplasia (CTD), which is necessary when conducting comprehensive medical and social rehabilitation and prevention of its complications. Determine the height of the arch of the hard palate, the results of which diagnose the severity of CDT. In this case, a device is used that contains a measuring rod with a handle in the form of a vertical ruler with a scale fixedly mounted at one end on the handle. Friction mounted support bar is installed on the ruler. Device is introduced into the oral cavity and, holding the handle, the support bar is placed between the second premolars and the first molars of the upper jaw. By advancing and turning the measuring ruler all the way towards the deepest point of the arch of the hard palate, the height of the arch of the hard palate is fixed.

EFFECT: method provides the effectiveness of diagnosing changes in the height of the arch of the hard palate at various degrees of severity of CDT.
