SUBSTANCE: using to determine the nature of saturation and the elemental composition of rocks and fluids saturating them with neutron methods. Summary of Invention is thatequipment contains a pulsed neutron generator, thermal neutron pulsed neutron-neutron thermal logging probes (INNLt) and probes of pulsed neutron-neutron logging for epithermal neutrons (INNLet), which are located on one side of the pulsed neutron generator, the apparatus additionally comprises a spectrometry probe for gamma-ray of radiation capture of thermal neutrons (INGK-S) with detector placed in boron screen and protected by lead screen from the accompanying gamma-ray, and located on the back side of the neutron generator and remote from it a spectrometric probe of gamma activity (NAL), recording spectral distribution of the induced gamma activity of chemical elements that rocks consist of and fluids that saturate them.
EFFECT: expanding functionality of neutron methods, allowing detailed investigation of the near-wellbore zone of the reservoir in terms of the fluid composition of hydrocarbons and content of formation water in reservoir pore space and their distribution in the radial direction from the rib wall with simultaneous determination of the elementary composition of rocks and fluids saturating them.
