FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to mining industry, to a method for reducing the gas permeability of an array of coal in pillars between workings and in an array of coal containing rocks in a roof, sides, soil of a mine working. To reduce the gas permeability of an array of coal, non-combustible heat-resistant and waterproof glue, made on the basis of liquid glass, is injected through packers into the holes. After the glue hardens, air is not allowed to flow from the current generation along cracks and pores into the coal mass. If there are foci of self-heating in the coal mass, when the glue contacts the coal that is self-heated to temperature of 100 °C, the formation of foam is carried out, which blocks the flow of air to the coal. To reduce the temperature in the self-heating center, after the adhesive hardens, water is pumped into hot spots through the holes with the help of packers. Water blurs the foam and dissipates heat from the self-heated coal. After cooling the hot spots, non-flammable, heat-resistant and waterproof glue is pumped into the holes.
EFFECT: technical result is to reduce the gas permeability of coal and the simultaneous braking and blocking the oxidation of coal by eliminating air access to the oxidation zones of a coal massif.
