SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy. For the processes transition in the production of strip with the protective coating and cold-rolled strip with the gas exit from the annealing furnace elimination, forming the furnace atmosphere, the coated steel strip and the cold-rolled steel strip are produced using the production equipment 1, including the continuous annealing furnace 2, connected to the furnace 2 nozzle 6, device 10 with contact-type sealing plates and device 20 with non-contact type sealing rolls, which are installed in the said order from the nozzle 6 input side along the steel strip S movement direction, capacity 5 for coating by immersion into the melt, made movable, and immersed into the bath guide roller 31, configured to change the steel strip S movement direction after passing through the nozzle 6, at that, the coated steel strip production is carried out in the unit by the strip S continuous movement in the annealing furnace 2 followed by the strip immersion into the hot melt container 5 for the coating application, and the cold-rolled steel strip production is carried out in the unit by the strip S movement in the annealing furnace 2 and the subsequent movement through the deflecting roller without the strip passing through the container 5, wherein, the deflecting roller is placed in the position, in which the immersed into the bath 5 guide roller 31 was located.
