FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to weapons – experimental ballistics. Method of measuring pressure in a bore of an automatic firearm comprises assessing the change in color of an indicator film, glued to a cartridge bottom, after the shot. Saturation of the film color depends on the applied pressure at the point of contact. Obtained data is analyzed by a computer.
EFFECT: carrying out ballistic tests of an ammunition batch under conditions of high-firing shooting with service weapons and reducing the time for evaluating results.
